Heather Hendricks

Heather Hendricks is an accomplished adventurer, writer, and prolific reviewer, known for her deep expertise in outdoor gear and adventure sports. Based outside of Aspen, Colorado, she embraces a "live by the seat of her pants" philosophy, often traveling in her Ford 250 with her rescue pup, Rosie, to test gear and pursue spontaneous adventures.

With over 15 years of experience, Heather's writing and reviews span a wide array of topics including: women's gear, snowboarding, splitboarding, skiing, travel, van life, camping, and climbing. She has rigorously tested over 1770 products, dedicating more than 19,000 hours to evaluating gear in real-world conditions.

Her extensive background includes roles as contributing editor and special projects manager at TransWorld SNOWboarding Magazine, Gear and Travel Editor at Teton Gravity Research, and Online Editor of Snowboard Mag. She is currently the editor of Jackson Hole Snowboarder Magazine and the Silverton Summer and Winter Destination Guides. Her work has also appeared in prominent publications such as Outside Magazine, Backpacker Magazine, The Inertia, and GearJunkie.

A career highlight includes being a 10-time tester for TransWorld Snowboarding's Good Wood Board Test, where she advanced from tester to event host and organizer. Heather has covered international snowboard contests in Europe, South America, Canada, and across the USA, including the Euro X, Eye of the Condor (Chile), and Winter Olympics in Vancouver and Sochi.
